    Default video capturing problem?

When using Sony Vegas Platinum 9.0, whenever I play a video in it gets split up into smaller random pieces. Is there a way to set Vegas to collect the video as one big massive video file?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing you have "DV Scene Detection" switched on within the Capture session. This will split your capture into the separate "scenes" that were created when you hit the red - record - for RECORD and STOP button on the camcorder. If you want to get an undivided single file and THIS IS what is happening, turn off Scene Detection. As to there being random scenes, do they not have any time-stamp reality to what you videoed?
