Default Vegas 7 Import DVD camcorder disc problem

I took a dvd that was recorded on a standalone dvd recorder and imported it into vegas 7. I had auto chapters on in the recording of the initial dvd so every five minutes, it created a new chapter... Each chapter on the dvd was represented in Vegas as an individual file.

I dragged all of the files into the timeline and it kept everything in sequence.

Now the problem... At every five minutes on the vegas timeline, i notice anywhere from a 5-20 frame drop/break in audio... The video is seamless through the end, but the audio drops right at the point of a chapter insertion..

It seems that if I disable auto chapter in the dvd recorder, i do not encounter this problem...

    Any thoughts?

sounds like you know the answer, disable auto chapters.
