Thread: Recording quality

  1. Cool Recording quality

    A funny question ?
As a hobby I video a musical show for friends, the show is around 2 hrs 45 mins long.
    I film with a Sony Z1 (DV)
I use Studio 12 to edit, the trouble is when I burn to a Dual Layer disk there is a quality drop of the finished disk to around 70% of the original.
Of course bearing in mind the length of film this is expected, but, I was wondering if there is any way I can get the quality up to 100%.
Also how is it that when you buy a HD DVD blockbuster the quality is so good ?are they special disks ? different code ?
I would love to use HD on my camera, but for this video I would need a box of dvd's.
