    Default Capturing

Well, I got my shiny - really - new ADVC-55 and within minutes of taking it out of the box it was up and running. Exciting! Previously, I've only ever captured analog with the Ulead package - and I discover that, with Premiere, it seems you can't hear the soundtrack of the footage you're capturing until you actually hit the 'record' button. Is there a setting I'm missing in Premiere that means that I can hear audio while I'm previewing the footage to be captured? In the Ulead software, you get sound all the time...

Bump: surely someone must know the answer to this? :(

Marc, thanks. I guess if the lack of sound in preview mode becomes an issue, I could use Ulead for capture. What's better about iuVCR, do you believe? And did you/do you have to register your copy? - or does the trial version last forever but have limited functionality?
