Unhappy Images create Jittery film after rendering...PLEASE HELP!!

    Hi.
Im in the middle of editing a film i have been working on over the last few months and come across some problems. I am using "Sony Vegas Movies studio platinum 6.0". I am creating muzzle flashes for guns in the film. i find this method the quickest and works fine but its the outcome that worries me.
I take a snapshot from my time line where some one fires a gun and take this snapshot into Photoshop to add the effect of a guns muzzle flash. After i have done this i save the image as a JPG. and open it back up in Sony Vegas. I drag it into the timeline cut the image down to 1 frame. The image and effect looks fine at this moment, its not until i have rendered the film i find the problem. The image seems to have shrunk so when it appears in the film the film jitters because the pic is a different size to the actual moving film. I Really need help with this otherwise my film will be ruined.
Thank you, all your help would be appreciated so much
    Lee

It may help - set the p shop settings to the same as the edit.

Make sure your project also has the frame rate set to that of your camera files and that you render to the same frame rate - may help.

Ok So I've checked all the frame rates and they are fine. But how do i set the photoshop files settings to same as the edit, and by edit do you mean film?
