Exclamation Lag-ish sort of problem after rendering video ?

Okay so I have completed a video in Sony Vegas 8 Pro.
I render a piece of the file as sort of a preview like thing.
But the problem is that the video, when played in Windows Media Player, is more than just laggy. The audio and video don't correspond together. The video for some reason plays really slowly and just doesn't play correctly.

I rendered the video as an .AVI file and the file is pretty huge but I don't think that is the problem. I also rendered it in widescreen format (640 x 360) so I can't render it as .WMV or else it's just going to mess up the video.

    :/

    what do I do ?!

If the resolution of the video is quite large your computer may just be having trouble playing it.

What resolution did you save the video as?

That should be easy for any computer to process, What codec were you using?
