Default Stretched images when imported into Premiere

    Hello,

I am having a problem importing images into Premiere. They are saved as 720x480 and they become stretched once imported. This is also true when I import an avi file into Ulead which was saved as 720x480 NTCS. The file is fine when played with Media player. I just don't know how to get it to stop stretching my file. Please help. I hope I am being clear, not the most computer savvy person

    Thanks

    Valerie

In Premiere Pro you can right click on the file in the project window and select interpret footage, then select the correct aspect ratio. However, I feel you are using Premiere 6.x.

You don't say what country you are from. It sounds as if you are using NTSC in a PAL project.
