Default sp2 hammered my dv drivers

The Win XP auto-update feature installed service pack 2. Suddenly, I can't capture video. I did some research & found out sp2 has a corrupt set of dv drivers. Since I have an OEM version of XP Pro, Microsoft will not support me. I've looked all over for suitable dv drivers. Anybody know where I can get some?

If you mean the panasonic DV code, you can get that from:

    http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...c_DV_Codec.htm

Let us know if it works!!

    Try Start > Run regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\qdv.dll

What editing software are you using?

    Marc,

Thanks. I'll give that a shot just as soon as I get the camera back.

    I'm running Premiere 6.5.

Hi.....see also 'Video Capture Problem' for which I've just added an update today. Looks like I've got the same problem and I will take-up again with Microsoft and keep this site posted.

See topic "Video capturing freezes at first frame". The fix worked for me too!
