Default Help Needed: Transfer Video From SONY SR 45

I am new to this and this is my first video camera. (SONY SR45) I am using Win Dvd Creator on a Xp machine and transfering the video via USB cable. The video's are just copied from the camera and pasted on the PC as the camera has a Har Drive and appears as a removable disc when the camera is connected.

I need help with the following:

    1. After making a DVD in Win DVD Creator and playing it in a normal DVD player, the picture appears very small. There are two thick black lines above and below the picture. The picture seems to be squeezed in the centre of the screen.

    2. The video appears as hundreds of files as the camera creates a new file everytime the pause /record button is hit. Is there any way to merge this into one long file?

    Help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

The reason you have the black bars on the top and botton is its wide screen.. Im guessing you had the cam set to 16:9.. I dont that software so someone else here might. Again there might be a setting for that and it just might be the way that cam works...

    Software Used:
TGV Edius 6, TGV ProCoder 3, DVD Lab Pro. 2
