    Default capture failure

    Hi
This one has me baffled, and it may be that I'm new to editing
I capture the movie from my DV camera via file-capture-movie capture, I then press esc to stop recording when finished followed by entering the file name and pressing OK.
When I close the movie capture window I get a message telling me that Adobe has encountered a problem and is closing down, would I like to sent an error report to microsoft.
Although the file is saved I cannot import it to edit as the same message comes up.
    Any ideas would be helpfull.

    Regards
    Joe

Can you provide full h/w and s/w specs please?

The spec you quoted looks a little low spec for the latest versions of Premiere in respect to RAM and HDD space. Which version are you using?

Good general advice to newbies is to make sure you have plenty of disk space free, that your disk is well defragged.
