Default 2.1 gig mpeg is 11.5 gig in DVD Arch 4.5 HELP!

When I insert a 2.1 gig mpeg 1 video file into Sony DVD Architect Studio 4.5 the disc space box say it is 11.5 gig. I am not using any menus or other graphics I just want the movie to play. It is approx. 1 hour long. What am I doing wrong?

It should be mpeg2 and at an hour long I'd set the the bitrate about 8.. (in begas it'll be 8,000,000) cbr not vbr.. render with out audio.. then render the audio track as AC3.. name them the same.. the only diffrence in the name will be the extension..

Is it possible you have placed the SAME media as a background several times? This sort of result is often created by doubling up media through the DVDA interface. I've done it too.
