    Default A little Guidance

    Hello all,

I am new to the forums, and to video editing in general.

I have a project for a psychology class in which I have to show the effectiveness of subliminal messaging.

I need to be able to place pictures (subliminal suggestions) in video, but the pics must have a max duration of 0.0166 sec. The lowest I can get with Windows Movie Maker is 0.7 sec.

I don't mind spending a little money for this, but I will most likely only use it once or twice.

    Any suggestions?

I would suggest getting a trial of the bigger NLE's like Sony Vegas or Premiere. You wont be able to render to mpeg (needed for dvd's) but you should be able to render to an WMV and play it on a laptop etc..

I never tried to set it so low. but as long as you getting a free trial its worth a shot.. I'll try to set it that low in Vegas 8 Pro and see it it works befor you go though the trouble of downloading it..

Ok, I don't know why I didn't think of this before but the shortest you can go is 1 frame or .0333667 in ntsc (29.97 fps) or .04 in pal (25 fps) and thats with Vegas.. I hope.. I know you can set the still picture length manualy but Im not sure if you can get it shorter then a frame.. I hope that helps

the only way you'll be able to do that is if you increase the frame reat but then it is wouldn't be able to be played on most tvs.
