Ive just been made redundant from my Job, (i was a tech op for a tv company) Ive decided that I want to become an editor and be able to do good creative effects, like the stuff on that cheesey slow-mo sky hd ad)
and maybe even things like this (looks quite complicated)
I wanda how they made that any ideas???
anyways.... Eventially im hoping to get work in tv (or maybe even film)
My main question is what software should I get??? I need to get a new PC aswell so should i go Mac or PC??? what sort of spec should i get?? i got about 3k and a sh*t load of spare time, (im going to build a suite in my office)
Im sort of familar with the big 3, i used final cut at uni (4 years ago) i used adobe prem mucking about with home vids (about 7 years ago) and Avid newscutter for the last 2 years at work , but i only used them to a basic level.
So basically im rusty but im willing to dedicate my self to learning the craft, I also want to be able to do some good special effects too (if im smat enough) , but im worried that if pick the wrong one or ones I wont be able to get a job and be basically wasting my time and money!!!
thanks guys, Rob
