Default Quality of Finished DVD wasn't what I expected.

    Hello,

I'm using Pinnacle Studio 12 (Basic). I just created a dvd that is approx 21 min. long. The text I added in the beginning of the movie, as well as the pictures I added look very pixelated when watched in a home DVD player. Is this the usual case for this program or do I have to "upgrade" to Ultimate in order for better quality?

    Thanks for any help.

I dont use that app but if you can set the bit rate to max rate of 10.8 mbit/sec - or maybe slightly less as I have found max rate dvds can fail in many players.

With text it helps not to go too small and use a sans serif face with thickish lettering. Add some blurred black outline too.

Could it be to do with rendering? I don't know Pinnacle either but I think that in Avid if you don't render text etc then this can lead to problems on output
