    *jealous*

Is that the top-end 24" model?

Anyway, it looks like you'll get iLife '09 if you've just ordered it, which comes with iMovie. iMovie might be enough for what you need really, but if not, there's always Final Cut Express, or even Final Cut Pro if you want to get REALLY serious.

See how you get on with iMovie before you get anything else.

Yes it is. Also have another 24" monitor on the way as well. I've edited before and I'm pretty familiar with everything. I used to use avid in school in a videography class, and I'm actually goigng to be editing a Spearfishing DVD for a professional company so I'm looking to have a professional look. Also do you happen to know any really good DVD menu creators. I never have seemed to find one.

Ps i actually ordered final cut express with the computer, just to try it since i've been a pc guy my whole life. Used Avid, Premiere elements, movie maker, and a little into premiere pro.

I currently use Adobe Encore to make my dvds and what you can do within that program are amazing but i believe that you can only get it with premier pro now?

Some people may scrutinize me for this but final cut express is actually a pretty capable editing software. I love that apple has made it somewhat affordable (not $1000+). The features included on it are mainly everything that I would use anyways. So in my mind, GOOD PURCHASE!

As for the dvd menu,iDvd is a little to basic for my liking (although good results are possible). I have seen some menus created with adobe and would agree that they can look good If you know what your doing.
