wmv performs better at simialr bit rates - and is the most portable - but encoding times are much longer than most divx encoders.

I'm not really familiar with Divx or Adobe premier elements. I just got the premier elements. I have the same problem as LUKAvac. I imported a wmv file into premier elements then edited the video and when I saved it as an AVI it saved as 1.2 gig Should I do the same thing as you were saying with the Divx? If so what exactly do I do?

ok i'm not 100% sure that this will match premiere elements as i have premier pro. when you export it you should be able to select what codec you want to export it to, it might be called compressor or encoding, chaneg this to either divx, xvid, or wmv, its up to you. you dont normally need to go into advaced options unless you get bad quality video. if you need anymore help then post back in your own topic.

You can export as WMV from within Premiere Elements.

H.264 or Highest Quality Flash will work also.
