Default FINAL CUT PRO: Reducing Strobing

Hi guys, not sure if anyones able to help on here or even if it's possible but i'm trying to edit a program and there's too much flashing in it. Is there a way to reduce the brightness of the flashes?? Like some sort of visual compression or something?? Normally we would remove the odd frame or if we HAVE to reduce the luminacy of a frame. Obviously if we could set a standard so as the brightness of the flash never exceeded a set amount it would be perfect. Any ideas??

I don't have the answer but I've got the same problem and would sure like to know if someone out there knows how to fix it. In my case I know for a fact that the strobing was produced by the camcorder I had at the time whenever it was focused on something bright. The video looks like someone was turning a bright light on and off as regular intervals about one second apart. If you find a fix I'd appreciate it if you'd post it here. Thanks, Tim
