Default How to record from Recorded DVD to PC?

Ok so I'm new here and quite inexperienced, forgive me. I made a film at college and have it on dvd i want to upload it to shooting people, myspace etc. How do I go about doing this? I have Nero but not the full paid for version is that what I need or is there another free programme or windows built in programme I can use?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Many dvd authoring / editing programs can handle DVD files ok - some not.

Copy all the files with the extension .vob onto your hard drive.

Then you need to use an editor to join them together.

Then render a compressed copy that is uploadable.
