Thread: Editing 3.3 GB file

  1. #1

    Default Editing 3.3 GB file

I have captured a video using my TV tuner, the file is .AVI and around 3.3 GB, I can't even watch it using media player or any other player than I have, I can only watch the first 4 seconds of it.

So I want to split this video, but again windows movie maker can't handle that big file, it will only read the first 4 second.

Please, how can i work around importing this file into some editor in order to slice it?

    Many thanks

Download a trial of Premiere Pro or Vegas, chop it up into smaller pieces and then export each one OR download this media player which will play pretty much anything without a fuss.

that player didn't work, also displayed the first 3 seconds only.
As for the editors, isnt there any one smaller in size? I can download those large files..

It wont be the size of the file that is a rpob - viudeo files are foten tens of megs.

As for the d load - just let it run. It might take overnight but that isnt long.

I tried Super player, also didnt work,
However, I tried some application called Total Video Player, it recognized all the file, and started playing correctly, but it is being too heavy, it is sometimes pausing then replaying and so on.. but at least it recognized all the file not only 3 seconds. So anything similar that can play better?

Maybe there's some corruption in the video file. 3.3GB of .avi could go wrong in a capture perhaps.
