    Default Transfer hdd dvd recorder's files to my pc

    Hi guys, I want to transfer files from my Philips DVDR3440H recorder to PC... Can I do this with Ilink-firewire cable, and do I need software to do that?

    There is nothing in the manual regarding copying directly to PC. I suggest that you burn the movie to DVD on your player, and then transfer to your PC using DVD ripping software.

    Copy the video from HDD to DVD.....Put the DVD into your Pc and use video editing software to convert and render into prefered format....ie wmv,mpeg etc.....windows has movie maker built in,or buy sony movie studio or similar editing software.Youtube has tutorials on how to import files from DVD into editing software and tutorials of every editing software out there......always try youtube
