    Default problems with rendering in vegas 8

    so im new to vegas and i'm having problems with saving the video(render as). I choose the format as .avi and render it, then the video comes out all choppy and stops on certain frames. help?

    What was the format?

    What are your project settings?

    What format is your Events in?

    You really need to provide more relevant information.

    I bet the source is a divx - thay are often full of errors if d loaded / torrented.

    well, the videos i imported are in Quicktime (.MOV) format.
    they are 29.970 fps.
    when i get to the "render as" box, it says "save as type" and i chose .avi. below that says "template", which is NTSC DV. below that is "desription" which says-
    Audio: 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, PCM Uncompressed.
    Video: 29.97 fps, 720x480, Lower field first.
    there are 3 checkboxes below that, one says "Save project as path reference in rendered media", that one is not checked. another says "Stretch video to full frame output size(do not letterbox)" that one not checked. The next says "save project markers in media file", it's checked. and the last says "Render using network computers" which is not checked.

    don't know what you mean by what format the Events are in or what the project settings are because i just got Vegas yesterday and i'm new to video editing in general.

    oh and btw, the exported file is 2,154 KB, is that really big for an 8 second video?
