Thread: Text Effect?

    Default Text Effect?

There's a text effect I wanted to do that can be found in this video from 1:13 to 1:19, the text is coming from the side and then turns to face the camera. At the end, it looks almost as if the camera pans to the text as the text is turning. Is this something you can do with panning and cropping (the camera pan) or am I just crazy and the text is turning to be aligned with the screen?

In any case, could someone give me an idea of how I could get my text to do something like this? Much appreciated!

Edit: There's no sound because of Youtube's new fiasco with the WMG crap.

Looks to me like it is done in some text app - not in an editor.

Vegas Pro's 3-D Track Motion will do that.

    I would:

FIRSTLY setup the actual roll left to right using SONY Text

    SECONDLY use 3-D Track motion.

I'd do it this way 'cos although TM could do this in one process, I get really confused using to much manipulation. This way I can logically separate the 2 main parameters easily.

Now the 3-D letter depth, seen in your example, is something that Vegas wont give you.
