    Default Help, After Effects crashes

I'm having problems with After Effects. As soon as I open the program, I get the following error.

After Effects can't continue: sorry, After Effects has crashed. See Adobe : After Effects Support Center - Help and Support for After Effects for know issues. If you still can't resolve the issue, please contant Adobe Technical Support (2).

I've searched all over the internet and found many people with the samiliar problem, neither one of them had a solution.

It is very strange, cause when I right click the program and run as Adminstrator it will open. But than I get the same error when I open something. New project or import a video etc.

I really hope anyone could help me. I don't understand why Adobe hasn't fixed this issue with a update or something, seems that it is a big issue all over the after effects community.

Try creating a new Windows login with Administrator rights.
Then try running After Effects from the new login.

Have you tried doing what the message says and contacting their support line? What did they say?

last time I had a problem wiht AE not opening properly it was simply outdated video drivers.

I still think it is probably a corrupt Windows Profile.

Could be. Also try starting AE and resetting all user prefs. Start AE while pressing Ctrl key or something. Should be easy enough to google how to do that if I've quoted it wrong. worth a try.

I have tried all states above. I contacted them about it and they didn't knew what to do with it. They said the problem is caused by another program than theres..

So I installed it at my girlfriends computer and it works fine there.. So it really is something else which is making it crash, I just don't know what it could be.

Sorry, thought that would work for sure. Sometimes you just can't tell what the problem is. I have seen it come down to audio and/or video drivers, DVD burner firmware, corrupt Windows Profile, on and on......

You could reformat the drive and then just install AE to start with, that's kind of the extreme way to fix it.
