By emphasising the 'registered charity' bit should I assume you want this done for free? If not then quote your budget if you want people to reply.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
free would be good in return for credits on the clips
but im a realist if we have to pay we have to pay but bear in mind we are a charity so every penny counts.

To be honest we have no idea on how much it would cost to make say 2 good 2 minute clips out of about 10 or 20 hrs footage and photos so im open to suggestions within reason.
and yes i know lowest bid does not always mean same quality.

You will either have to pay lots or hope you find a talentted editior who will work for free.

Befor any editing all that 20 hours of video will need to be watched. So we are at around 20 x 25 = 500 already ( just pulling figures from the air).

Rather than try to get a possibly poor job done for nothing why dont you think what the video can do for your charity and get a good job done.

I expect you take a salary after all.

Further info for intersted people who may be interested.

    Hi mark
sorry for delay just back from bamako

actually we dont draw a salary. that was one thing that we as trustees felt very strongly in that if someone donates money to get an ambulance sorted then the funds should only be getting parts, fitting parts, modifications for environment, medical equipment and spares both mecanical and medical and lastly but not leastly getting the vehicles out there.

but enough of my views ... hard facts are

we have about 2x 60 min tapes made mostly of the journeys from bamako to the bush locations

a couple of 5 min inverviews
some random footage showing the lack of facilities etc

I completely agree that a good job is better than a poor job but i dont expect we could fork out more than 500 unless it was 500 down payment and 500 on completion.
perhaps if i go through all the video and try to delete the stuff that is generic?

open to all suggestions but yes id rather have a professional job done but it wasnt a michael palin shoot with professional directors, camera men and such lol
