    Dear Sir,

I consider this absolutely appalling service. I demand a full refund of everything I've ever paid to use this forum!

    Yours sincerely,

    Angry of Surrey.

As much as you might joke. Running this forum does cost Marc quite a lot of money and time. He has been happy to accept donations in the past.

In fact Marc, might be about time you held the hat out again....

Very kind of you to offer Alan, but despite the impending recession, advertising revenue is covering the dedicated server cost at the moment.

And I'd be happy to dig into my pockets - I've contributed to lesser forums than this.

But I'm glad for Marc's sake the ads are covering it. In fact this must have been so for a while as I've been a regular visitor for a couple of years and never seen a request for dosh.

Also, a well done to Marc for getting sponsorship for the next VOTM. Maybe we should get every nominee to make a case for why they deserve the HD stock footage and vote accordingly

I see it as a hobby, so I don't really like to ask for donations. A few kind chaps donated in the past (at that time I'd spent out on software updates, new web design and several lost nights sleep) and for that I'm grateful. It's those one off costs that can be a pain! I'm sure the right marketing minds could turn the site into a little money spinner, but at what cost? I'd be aghast if there were any more adverts that there already are.

And yet I do sometimes get the odd complaint about the ads, and one user didn't take kindly to me asking for donations to cover costs. Perhaps some people underestimate the time I spend 'behind the scenes'. Sometimes I wish I had more time...

And where they should not! TIME is the biggest expense in most things I find. Much cheaper for me to spend 7 for someone to wash my car than for me the waste valuable hour doing it!!!

I dont mind the ads and I hate ads - but they are low profile and often amusing. Just recently every add at the top of the page was for lesbian porn sites.... gotta love targetted ads - lols.
