Default Smooth slideshows jpeg files in after effects ( hell )

    Hello guys,,

My problems is when i make a slideshow of jpeg fils ( example )

A photo from right to left, but when i render that as avi video ( lossless )
i get a very bad video and it hurts my eye it seems 4 fps video,,, the frame rate
    is 29.

Stills can be weird in vidoe - I suspect you are panning, moving, the pics too fast.

This can be a real probelm cos often pictures in interlaced videos dont work when they are not moving - yet if you render as progressive the movement problem is much worse.

My work around is to add a tiny bit of motion blur, and like i said, pan slow.

I think we would need to see your project and layer attributes and the final output to see what's up.

Can you post a small example AE project for us to pick up. We migth be able to give some pointers.

had a look at that project file and the simpl efact is that the image is moving too quickly for a smooth movement. Each frame moves the image 16 pixels. It just won;t ever look great.

Rather than a straight left to right flow why not make the image a 3D layer and add some z-depth movement or mayeb even just some 3d rotation. makes things look a lot smoother.
