Default Looks like I'm keeping it then....

I've had no takers for the quiz question in my signature that reads

Where in the World can you walk a mile south, a mile west and then a mile north and be back where you started?
So it looks like I'll be keeping the prize of a brand new XL2s myself then....

Oh, and anyone thinking it's the North pole should think harder next time.

Can't be bothered to find the answer in that web site cos it's not on the page linked to by google. What I can say though is that the comment on the google search page that reads

There are two places in the world where you can walk one mile south, one mile west,
and one mile north and end up in the exact same spot where you started
is WRONG!!!. There are not two points. The answer is a specific circel and we all know that a circle has an infinite number of points on it.

But anyway, the puzzle is clearly boring. I'll think up something else for my signature then......

What is interesting was the fact that it linked back to the forums. Infinitelooptastic.

I do, of course, use the word 'interesting' loosely.

of course you can have a biccy. Just out of interest though, what is the answer?

And if that was too easy, how about this one....

A door to door salesman knocks on the door to a house and talks to the lady who answers. He hasn't sold anything all day and the lady takes pity on him and says she will buy some goods if he can answer a question. She asks him what the ages of her three children are. They could be anything, he says, so you must give me a clue. She says the ages when all multiplied together give 36 and when all added together give the house number she lives at. the man says that that isn't enough information so she says "The oldest is called Jack". The salesman then proceeds the tell her the ages of the three children and happily sells his wares.

What are the ages of the children and what is the house number?

There is a single specific answer to this so no guessing when you come up with three numbers that multiply to give 36 ok? And you do have all the info you need.

For those who know the answer, and this has been around for years, keep quiet for a bit ok?

    Wrong!

I'm curious to hear your reasoning though. There's a whole bundle of other multiples giving 36. Why did you choose that one?
