Question Mpeg into Windows Movie Maker

I'm not sure if this is the right thread or not but here goes:

I use an Everio CCD camera and it saves videos as Mpegs, I only have windows movie maker as a video editting software, but unfortunately, WMM does not take mpegs, is there a way I can make it take mpegs, or preferrably a watermark-free converter?

WinFF should convert your videos to WMV's which you can use with movie maker.

There's a download link and guide here:

I downloaded an older version of Windows Movie Maker version 2.6 (running on Vista) and it allows me to import mpeg files into it. I recorded some clips using a Sony onto a memory card and I can import, play and edit them in version 2.6. Sorry, don't have a link for it, just do a search on Google and see what it throws up.

EDIT - It doesn't have a 16:9 widescreen setting if you choose DV-AVI (PAL), the preferred file format, so it does fall down on that aspect but if you are using 4:3 then it will be ok.
