Whats the best setting for recording like this?

(this video isn't mine. I want to get it like this)
My camcorder is set at rec. time: 0.5sec interval time 30secs
(So, it records 0.5 seconds of video ever 30 seconds)

I'm mainly intrested in that kind of time laps, for now, but what other things can you do with it? What are other good settings? Thanks

    examples: people walking

Interval recording works well when you want to speed stuff up loads and loads but for most timelapse work it is best to speed up in post.

This gives you more options and a better quality of ouput.
