Hi I have a Sony DC-SR42 hard disk camcorder. On a recent trip, some water has entered the camcorder body. I removed the battery immediately and have not connected it for a week. I drained all the water from the body. Now after a week I tried connecting the battery and the camcorder just won't turn on. Do you have any advice on what I can do now to get it to work ? getting it serviced from a professional is not an immediate option since i have run out of the 90-day warranty and cannot afford a $250 repair job. Also, if anyone can tell me how i can retrieve the videos from the harddisk, i would appreciate it very much. I don't have a backup since the accident occurred during the holiday. Thanks !
