Congrats on your "runner up" for wedding vids. From what I've seen of your work, the winner must have been something special indeed.
Forgive me, but weren't you on the judging panel? Perhaps you were able to judge in all other categories only?
On a different tack - it was interesting to see FCP, Premiere and Avid almost exclusively used by the prize winners. Only one Vegas user on the rostrum. Even Edius beat that!

Hi Tim, thank you for the thumbs up

The truth is, their are some extremely talented and exceptional videomakers out there.

I still have much to learn and was extremely pleased to be placed 2nd.

I was a panelist for question time the following day! I wonder if thats what you mean and confused it for judges for the competition.

It was a great time where I was able to put many faces to names on forums and I even came home with a new Sony PMW EX1.

Now I have to figure out how to use it........

    Cheers.

Yea - you the man GDR.

As for wedding vidders not using vegas - well that is cos vegas is just too cool for boring weddings - if it was pop videos I am sure the picture would be very different. There again all you need for a wedding vid is slo mo, sepia, B/W, gaussian blurr, motion blurr, desat and loads of white glow.... lols.
