Default New to filming..have a few questions:

Ok, I'm going to be working on a film shooting mainly outside during the day. I have been advised to use a Panasonic NV-GS230 MiniDV 3CCD Camcorder. Does this require lighting also, or do these kind of cameras capture the light well enough?

Any other advice/websites would be very useful!

I am sure you will have enough light.

Lighting is used for both technical and artistic reasosn, even when there is enough light adding carefully chosen lighting can make a scene have more impact.

Bring along a few reflectors, either white or gold coloured to fill in the shadow areas of faces during close ups. Are you shooting this on your own or is there someone helping you? They don't have to be expensive, an A3 size Daler Rowney mounting board (usually black on one side and white on the other) or stick some reflective gold foil on the black side and keep the white side as it is. You can get them in any art supply shop. Might be less intrusive than a light shining into someones face as they may not be too keen on the idea.
