Thread: Dynamic Preview RAM boggles...

  1. Exclamation Dynamic Preview RAM boggles...

On my laptop, running Vista 32, Vegas Pro will use up to 2GBs of Dynamic Preview RAM, but on my desktop, running Vista 64 and XP Pro 32, Vegas will only use up to 1GB - I've got 4GB of RAM on both systems - What gives?

I'd like to think there was a bit more of a technical reason behind why... :P

Still doesn't make sense why one computer would do it over another, with almost identical specifications. One's just been built, and the other is no more than two months old...

Er, do things to do with computers ever seem to make much sense? - I am totally convinced mine is staffed by thousands of highly militant tiny dwarfes who wont work on the sabbath or do anything really challenging like render a film without me doing some strange ritual or another.

... Or those annoying little nanobots from Red Dwarf...

Just found out that Vegas Pro 8.1 has been released, and it's optimized for 64 bit operating systems! I shall HAVE to try this out and report back.
