Default can I get this video overlay?

    Hello

What im looking for is a video overlay that adds "scratches" to the video. Im looking for something that simulates scratches on projector film....

I have sony Vegas movie studio platinum 9

Does it have this features...I didnt see it.

    Can it be downloaded?

    Thanks

I don't even have that! I DO have SVMS4, a much older and less feature-rich package to yours and even that has the "Film Effects" Fx. And that definitely has scratches, along with all types of video nightmares, like: Hair, Jitter, Flicker and Dust! In SVMS4 the Fx effects is located in a separate tab.

And you apply them directly to the event.

    Grazie

    Correct, it wont.

Video Fx (tab) > Film Effects Fx (As I said above 'the "Film Effects" Fx' > I have several "Very Old Film" "Video circa 1980" Apply one of these and within that you will find further adjusts including the ones I illustrated - including "Scratches".

    Default Alright!

    hey thanks

That's pretty close... it will do. I was kind of hoping for scratches that run cross wise ...like the "hair" option but larger

Either way I think these will do.

Is there a place to download more of these or is this it?

    thanks

Do you have "Generated Media" in your package? Look into some of those?

How about videoing some scratches and capturing them INTO the edit?

    Default yeah

I have the media generators tab... as far as i can tell its a single picture that it overlays and not something that moves like the video FXs.

Im just starting to learn some of the advanced features...pretty new to the whole video editing thing.

    thanks for helping out

Well, and again, you really need to drill down into the various submenus and if you DO have the options I have in VegasPro, you can indeed animate these values against time. I've done it with many of the particles and the lines and jaggies that are in there.

    You're welcome.

Sure, and in your own time too!

    Grazie
