Thread: Look at this screen capture, what is wrong?

Lightbulb Look at this screen capture, what is wrong?

When you click the link at the top try to view it in original resolution and please tell me why I have these horizontal lines.

The camera is an Everio GZ-MG330.

Is there any way in Vegas to get rid of this distortion?

If I were to upgrade immediately to a 3CCD HD HDD camera would this go away because I am shopping now for that?

Looks like interlacing to me. If your target is a DVD then it's no problem. Leave it in. It's interlaces and that's what DVD players expect (and you'll LOSE quality if you de-interlace).
If your target is web or computer then you need to deinterlace - Project Properties | Video tab - deinterlace method.
Search for "interlace" on this and other forums for an undertsanding.
