Default Short Green Thing (Film Competition)

    Hello Video Forumites,

I thought I'd let you know about this. It is open to everyone....

    CALLING ALL FILM STUDENTS

Short Green Things has launched - it's Green Thing's student film competition, being judged by an amazing line up of celebrated film makers and famous, clever TV producers such as Sam Mendes, Kevin Macdonald and Jon Plowman. Fantastic prizes are up for grabs, including Sony Camera Equipment, Nokia N95 phones, an internship with a leading London agency and lots of promotion on Myspace and Yahoo and Green Thing of course to help make the winning film famous.

If you're a film student (or actually just a student that also happens to like making films), and you want to help change the world a bit by creating a short film about being green - this is for you.

Or, if you know any students that may be interested, pass it on.

For more information, the film competition lives at:
    Do The Green Thing

    Thanks. Green Thing.

On their website they give three options to make a short about:

    (1) Stick With What You Got (because we want to buy more than we need to buy)
    (2) Easy on the Meat (because meat makes more CO2 than transportation)
    (3) Stay Grounded (because flying is the new smoking)

No thanks. I like buying new things, I love my red meat, and the only real reason I do not like flying these days is because I can't smoke on the plane. And I refuse to do videos promoting Travel Agents for Guilt Trips!

You missed the main point - you're not a student. It's a green justification for the real reasons:
    (1) Stick With What You Got (cos we spent all our money on beer)
    (2) Easy on the Meat (cos pepperoni pizzas cost more than margeritas and we want to save as much as possible for spending on beer)
    (3) Stay Grounded (cos flying's more expensive than beer)

    (1) Stick With What You Got - you will get less embarresing infections.
    (2) Easy on the Meat - you'll make it sore.
    (3) Stay Grounded - cos cocaine costs too much.
