    Default reason for blue color behind for editting

    hi to all out there. I have one doubt that why we use blue/green color for editing as our background for editing.

    please clear my doubt.

    When you want to use chromakey the editor makes the colour you select transparent.

    If the selcected b ground colour appears in the subject then you find areas of your subject get transparent too.

    Blue or gree nare commonly used as these colours are the least likely to appear in skin tones - but you still have to make sure the talent isnt wearing anything even close to the colour of the screen too.

    For some reason I dont understand blue is foten used for real film and green for digital video.
