    Default Cyberlink vrs Sony Vegas

I am basically a newbie at video editing. I have thus far created 2 videos using
Cyberlink PD 7. I like the program. Very easy to use. But I'm wondering if it is
missing a feature I need? I need to be able to add either static text or scrolling text at the bottom of the video. I am video recording a local 7-9 year olds football games. I'd rather not use my voice for announcing the score as I do not like the sound of it on video. I'd like to have the quarter and score showing on the bottom of video.

So, before I download a demo copy...first of all is Vegas as intuitive and easy to use as Cyberlinks PD? Secondly, can it easily do what I explained above?

    Thanks,

    Ray

How about lower 1/4 of the screen? Lower 1/5 of the screen?

    Thanks,

    Yes!

    And upper 1/16th

Sorry, Ray, I'm playing with you - the technique whereby scores, interviewee's names', time of day etc are shown towards the bottom (or even top) of a screen is known as creating "Lower Thirds" irrespective of how much sceen space they actually take up.

    Thanks Tim.

I just watched a Youtube by KingHuman on how to do Lower Thirds...
    Piece of cake with Vegas!

You can if you like. I prefer a mug of coffee or a glass of wine.
