    Default Faith Trailer

Hey everyone...just dug out a short film trailer I made for my A2 level Media Studies production piece late last year / early this year. I wrote, filmed and edited everything myself in 1 month.

Filmed on a Cannon XM2, edited in Premiere Pro CS3, titles and film grading done in After Effects CS3.

Hope you enjoy it & why not go and watch in in high quality :P - Planning on shooting the real thing sometime soon =]

I thought it was good, it could have done with being a bit shorter and snappier. A few of the shots seemed a bit shakey. However I liked the framing of the girl to the right of the tracking shot (when the camera was in the car I presume).

Biggest point was the length, bring it all in from the sides and it would work a bit better.

Agree on the length of the piece. Unfortunately I was told that it had to be 3 and 5 minutes long but I guess I could lose around 50 seconds or so with some careful cutting.
    Thanks for the input!

    Very nice.

I read above the issues with the length, I assume the music was the backbone to the edit, if thats the case it well suited the music.

    Framing...excellent
    Edit...interesting and consistant
Colour grading, lovely...it sold the video

Not too keen on the white transitions ( I would call them alpha wipes), they are very tricky to use and have to be well controlled.

So nice to see something which excites the eyes, and a rare non trash youtube thing.

    Cheers, Leo.

Thanks Leo - I'm glad you found it interesting and I'm really happy you liked the grading I used - I spent about 30 minutes creating a couple of filters and then watched back trailer fully with each filter enabled! You're right about the music, I cut the track and then wrote the script / edited to it.

Point taken on the alpha wipes..I'll have a look see on what I can use instead =]

    Thanks for the comment!

Unfortunately the OP has disabled embedding for the video in YouTube. To see the video, you;ll need to click on the link at the top of the video.

That's what I meant - I couldn't find the option anyway on my profile.
