Default Video capture gives audio only Premiere 6.0

When I capture video footage from my Panasonic DVC-60 in Adobe Premiere 6.0 , I get only audio, no video. I can capture the footage to Roxio Creator 10, and it works fine in Roxio, but then it has to be rendered when imported into Premiere. And I get the error message "Disk full?" I want to do my editing in Premiere. How do I get my video into that software??? I'm using MS Vista.

Please ensure you are capturing via firewire. The symptoms you describe are consistent with not using firewire.

Premiere 6 is very old software now and it may not have the necessary codecs built into it to play back all of the video and audio files that are available today. Download a 30 day trial of Premiere Elements 4 or Premiere Pro 2 or CS3 and see if that helps.
