Thread: jerky movement in playback

  1. #1

    Default jerky movement in playback

    ....but OK in recording.

Is this because I'm running files on the same H/D as my O/S?

If so - any good places to buy an external H/D (Can't face fitting an internal one - technophobe)

    Thanks in advance

What kind of spec's do you have on your PC.
It rarely has anything to do with hard drive speed. Most hard drives in a "newer than 5 year PC" wount have any problem running several video streams.
How much CPU load do you have when you're experiencing this?

Plus, and I suspect this comment really dates back about 2 or 3 years but Adobe do not support external hard drives for their video editing apps.

Anecdotal evidence suggest you would not have a problem but be warned.
