    Default Wich compression to use?

Hello, my first posting so here we go:

I created an animation in 3D with every frame (720x576-pal)
saved as a bitmap, imported them in Premiere Pro, made my edits etc... until now no problems. I now want to export the whole movie, and here is the point that i don't know what to choose for best quality.

The output must be AVID compatible... so i think quicktime is the way to go...

Can anybody give me some tips about the compression to choose etc etc etc...

Best to go for either lossless or a low less compression. General concensus seems to be huffy for lossless (only if you've got a few terrabytes of spare disk space hanging around for bigger projects), or a DV codec for easily editable (er, that isn't a word) video. You can use the quicktime wrapper and encode with a DV codec - this should play on a mac, but I've had problems extracting the audio from this in the past.

Call me thick, but know nothing about macs. :-(
