    Default Audio Edition-Language Learning

    Hi!

    I come to you, cause I don't know how to edit some audio files, to achieve the effect I'm looking for.

    What I want to do is this:
    -We have two audio files, each one is a different language for the same film.
    -I want to merge them hearing each of them, separated, in left and right ear.
    -That's not all, I want to change, alternatively, the ear where I hear each language.

    Language A (File A) -> left ear (x seconds)
    Language B (File B) -> right ear (x seconds)

    Language A (File A) -> right ear (x seconds)
    Language B (File B) -> left ear (x seconds)

    -Keep on this alternation till the film is finished.

    Is it possible?
    I have installed sony sound forge, but I don't know how to do it.

    Thanks

    - open sony sound forge
    - import the audio files
    - go to file, new, then choose mono and any bitrate u want
    - in the new empty mono track, copy and paste respectively from the audio u want and the duration u want
    - create another mono track and do the same
    - now u have two tracks: use one for the left channel and the other for the right (i'll tell u how)
    - create a new "stereo" track, when u move the cursor across the channels it should indicate L for left or R for right, click on the track when the desired letter appears, then paste one of the mono tracks u created in the channel u selected
    - for the second channel, u can't copy/paste directly: copy the other mono track u created, select the empty channel in the stereo track, go to edit>paste special>overwrite
    - u can now export or save the stereo track.

    good luck

    just be careful, u don't want the durations to differ between the two mono tracks

    Thanks.

    Now we only need to change channels alternatively, and if it's possible, in an automatic manner.

    Do I explain myself?

    Language A (File A) -> left ear (x seconds)
    Language B (File B) -> right ear (x seconds)

    AND CHANGE:

    Language A (File A) -> right ear (x seconds)
    Language B (File B) -> left ear (x seconds)

    -Keep on this alternation till the film is finished.

    Yes, it will be necessary the sincronization.

    Thank you sami, your advices were very usefull.

    i don't think there's an automatic to do that... u probably have to do it manually... i know it's time consuming...
    in case u find an automatic way to do it, i'd appreciate it if u kept me informed...

    Yes,

    Other friend told me kind of, but I didn't understand almost anything xD

    In this instance I would pan the files hard left and hard right (there should be pan positioning at the top of the channel) ,then at the correct moment hit the write button and manually pan the file all the way to the other side. You would then have to go back and do the same with the other file. Now turn off write and turn on read ,and it will make the movements automatically.
    Adobe Audition is the software referred to there, I think.
