    Default Newbie Help RE editing a Video!

    Sorry dont know were this should go but really hopin someone can help!

    I received yesterday a short video clip of my first wedding dance, thing is its been filmed sideways,

    Is there any way of rotateing it? Its givin me neck ache watchin it!

    I know theres one way but I have to pay for it, Im looking for a free option or if someone here could maybe do it for me?

    Try and open it in Windows Movie Maker and use the Rotate effect.

    All video editors should have this function and if it isn't present on the one you have you can probably download a freeware utility to rotate video aswell.

    ok Im getting annoyed now, I have turned the vdeo but everytime I click to save it, the movie maker tells me its not responding and shuts down on me, im gettin so angry with it! everything else is working fine

    You can give VirtualDub a go. This has a filter to rotate video and is free.

    VirtualDub download (at SourceForge) - virtualdub.org

    Code:
    - Go to Video -> Filters.
    - Click Add and select Rotate. Press OK.
    - Now, select the amount you want to rotate it by. Press OK. Press OK again to exit the filters box.
    - Your video should be rotated and ready to be exported.
