Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Xpress Pro with Avid Mojo, Pinnacle Liquid Edition and Sony Pictures Vegas 4+DVD. All of these are fine...however you need to watch the band width/speed on the hard drive memory - the slower the machine the more painful the experience as video requires large amount of data throughout.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Cheers,

    Sapphire

Desk tops will always be best for v editing, but even a decent single core lap top can edit wideo.
You may wosh to spec a large external drive for media as laptop drives are small/ slow.
