Default Importing from (not pre-recorded) DVD

I have a DVD +R disk which was recorded using a Phillips DVD recorder. There are .bup, .ifo and .vob files.

I am a novice to this and wish to import scenes from the DVD to my Premier project. Can this be done?

    Your help/advice is appreciated

Rip the entire disc content to your hard drive. Install FlaskMPEG. Use this to convert the chunks of the VOBs to DV AVI. Import these into Premiere and edit.
