I have been searching for a resolution to my problem, but almost every topic i find deal with problems capturing the time stamp while transferring videos from a minidv cam to pc, which doesn't help me.
I recently bought a Sony DCR-SR85 HDD, which captures all the video a mpg file on the internal hard drive.
To put the files on my pc i simply copy the file as i would on a hard drive, and past it to my computer's drive.
I can also use the quick burn feature.
But both of these do not allow me to choose any setting about including the timestamp. I know the timestamp is on the video file some way some how due to it showing up when i play the file on my camcorder.
Almost all the software i found online only deals with the minidv tapes.
I think that this should be easier to do since its a direct copy of the video file and no wires are being used besides simple usb.
What i read is that you can actually include the timestamp on the dvd but as a subtitle. Does anyone have instructions on how i could achieve this using my camcorder?
The only reason i want this is for the personal home videos. It's always nice to hae the time and date on the actual video.
