New to video editing and playing. Can anyone tell me how to apply the effect of pixelization as to hide and object in a video rather than pixelize the entire screen?

Thanks, I'll give 'er a try.
I read the tutorial you specified, and in Premiere 6.5, all goes as stated except the effect (pixelivation) does not (forgive my wording, I am a beginner) overlay onto the original track. After the export, at the points I want the effect, only the altered video appears, as if that section replaced the original, rather than superimposed over it. Any thought? Suggestions? Ideas? Any input appreciated.
Did you make sure that you set the transparency on the overlay track? (and set the transparency colour to the same as fill colour used when you clipped the video.) This is important, as if it's not done correctly, you'll just get the superimpose layer showing.
