A guide written by a fellow idiot. Convert the WMV to a less lossy codec first such as DV AVI to maximise your video editing experience.
Hi , i'm new here.
obviously there's professionals here so i'm sure someone can help me out.
Just know that i'm a kid and somewhat an idiot because these questions are really stupid.
First of all, I just got adobe premiere 6.0. The reason I got it is because I wanted to make some music videos. I don't have a camcorder at the moment so i'm going to be downloading video clips off the internet. I'm planning on editing these clips and added transitions, effects, titles etc. The problem is I have no idea how to go about it.LOL.
So i'm asking:
1.) After I download the clips onto my computer, how do I get them into adobe premiere so that I could edit them?. These clips are usually in wmv format. Do I have to convert them to mpeg?
#2.) how do I add the music?
I have a lot of music that I downloaded off of Kazaa, mostly mpeg. I can use those right? and do I also have to convert that file type? If so into what?
anyone get what i'm saying here?lol
You're probably laughing at me right about now, but i'm new to this so please try to understand.
If you can help me out that would be great. Also if you can point me in the direction of some good adobe premiere tutorials that would also be awesome!
Thanks for any help.
Thanks for the link.
I have one more question:
The video clips that I downloaded off the internet are MS media Stream files. I tried to import them into adobe premiere, but I can't.lol
Anyone know how to get them into adobe so that I could edit them?
i'm guessing that I would have to convert the file into wmv, avi or mpeg? if so, what video converter would do the job?
