Default Sony CDR-SR52 (Showing date and time when viewing on my pc)

I'm new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone out there can help me out.

My camcorder is a HDD Sony DCR-SR52. To transfer the video to my pc I am simply using the USB cable supplied and watching the video in Windows media player. However when playing the video, the date and time of the video footage is not shown!!. Any suggestions as to how this info can be shown.
Basically when I transfer the video to DVD I want to be able to show the date and time of each clip.

I have no problems at all when I simply connect my camcorder to the TV, the date date and time info is shown on the TV screen.

    Best Regards

Thre ahould be an option in the menus on the camera - look for ' time code'.
